Saturday Chess Club – Online
As a result of the containment measures implemented by the government in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Richmond Junior Chess Club met online from April 2020 to September 2021, four terms and two holiday camps.
We implemented as much of what we normally do and have done successfully for many years in real life on a Saturday afternoon as possible in our online classes. Our online classes used Zoom to provide the online conferencing technology and chess.com to provide the needed chess server. We hope that we were successful in this, and the feedback was positive.
We returned to meeting in real life in Autumn Term 2021.
We currently are not holding further classes online, but given the apparent success of the classes given and the wide audience that it is possible to reach easily, we could be persuaded to implement some further classes online. Please contact us if you have an interest in this.
