The Hampton Junior Chess Congress is a qualifying tournament for the London Junior Chess Championships (LJCC). It is being held on Saturday 12th October 2024, 10:00 – 18:00. It will be held at Orleans Park School, Richmond Road, Twickenham TW1 3BB.
Sections
All sections are qualifying events for the London Junior Championships
- U8 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2016
- U10 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2014
- U12 – Open to players born on or after 1 Sept. 2012
Entry Fees
All entries must be accompanied by the correct entry fee, which is £25.00. There is a discount of £5.00 to members of Richmond Juniors, or students of an affiliated school. There is also a further discount of £3.50 for players who are members of the English Chess Federation, at Silver level or better. The process for joining or renewing ECF Membership is explained on its website at https://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-membership-rates-and-joining-details/. An offer of one year’s free membership is available for juniors who have not previously been members of the Federation.
Entry Limits and Late Entries
Space is limited to 100 entries. Early entry is advised. Entries by Thursday, 12th October, please. Late entries may be accepted, but will incur a late entry fee of £3. Entries on the day will incur a £5 surcharge.
