On Saturday, 12 July, Richmond Juniors will be hosting Gavin Wall, a former student of the club, and since 2003, an International Master. Gavin will be giving a simultaneous exhibition against some of the club’s junior helpers and its strongest players from the A1 and A2 classes. We haven’t set the numbers, yet, probably 20. The remaining A1 and A2 students will join a joint class with A3.
Gavin gave a simul against the club back in 2017, and he was rather merciless.
Last year saw IM Richard Bates give a simul, our students were rather more successful.
We hope our students give Gavin a tough welcome back this time!
