Richmond Junior Chess Club will hold two Girls Classes this term. These classes are held in particular for girls who may feel less confident in the presence of overly competitive boys, although all girls are welcome, as are their mothers.
The dates are:
- Saturday 15th June
- Saturday 6th July
The classes will be held by Shohreh Bayat at Orleans Park School, Richmond Road, TWICKENHAM TW1 3BB from 2 to 5 p.m.
Originally from Iran, Shohreh, a WFM (Women’s FIDE Master) now represents England. Not only a strong player, a very experienced international arbiter, and the current ECF Director of Events, Shohreh was presented with the award, International Women of Courage in 2021 for her work in fighting for women’s rights.
